Conversations take place at Romi house.
Bambang | Hey how are you? |
Romi | Hey I’m good. Wow you look nice. |
Bambang | Haha Thanks. Where is Dina? |
Romi | She is still at home. Packing some stuff, anyway yesterday I saw rani and she asked me to tell you that she already had someone to take her to the hospital. |
Bambang | Ouh thanks, I just wanted to ask her that again. |
Romi | Hohoho You’re welcome. |
Dina enters Romi house.
Dina | (Shout with high note to romi). What ? You haven’t dressed up yet ? |
Romi | Heyhey.. Please be patient. Its still 9 o’clock. I am going to dress in 5 minutes. |
Dina | Well you better hurry, I’ve called our cab and it should be here in any minute. |
Bambang | Yeah Rom, we are all ready to go, but you. Just go up there and put some nice clothe. |
Romi | Wait a minute okay. |
(The cab is coming teeet teet)
Dina | Hey, Rom. The cab is ready, you better hurry! |
Romi | Okay I’m done. |
Bambang | Okay, let us go now. |
Romi | Wait Dina, could you please let me sit at front, beside the driver ? I’ve got a litle headache and nause. |
Dina | Yeah allright, i’ll just sit at the back then. |
At the Library. | |
Dina | Let’s split up, and meet again in here after we are done. |
At the counter check. | |
Dina | Hello mister, I want to return these four books. |
The counter staff | But two of these were due on Monday. You’re late by three days. I’m afraid you’ll have to pay the fine. |
Dina | Oh yes, I know that. But … I was sick and have not been able to come to library these four days. You condone the delay under special circumstances, don’t you? And my sickness is a special circumstance, isn’t it? |
The counter staff | Yes, it is. But you must talk to the librarian. My duty is just to charge the fine if it is due according to the rules |
Dina | Very well, I’ll see the librarian. Meanwhile, could you please issue me with these two books. Oh, wait a minute. I want another book too. Let me go to the racks and find out that one also. |
The counter staff | OK, I’ll wait and lend you all the three together. |
A minute later | |
Dina | Here’s the book I wanted. Now please issue them. |
The counter staff | Would you sign here, please? And here? |
Dina | Oh, I want to point out something. In this book, one page is missing. It’s page 231. You can have a look. |
The counter staff | Oh, my god. Somebody has torn it away! How callous! (high note) |
Dina | Please be patient mister! |
The counter staff | Oh, sorry. But I must stamp page 230 to indicate that page 231 has been torn out. |
Dina | Is this necessary? |
The counter staff | Yes, very necessary. Otherwise this may be blamed on you, or the next borrower after you. |
Dina | That’s all right. |
The counter staff | Yes, very necessary. Otherwise this may be blamed on you, or the next borrower after you. |
A couple of hours later after returning the books at the meeting point
Romi | Hey Din. Are you done? |
Dina | Yeah, What about you? |
Romi | I’m done too. |
Dina | Good, where is Bambang? |
Romi | Oh, right I forgot to tell you. Bambang already go home, his mother told him to go home immediately. |
Dina | Okay, Shall we go home too then? |
Romi | Okay, Let’s go! |
